When it comes to buying and selling products to make money, usually one of the first questions that come to mind when beginning your wholesaler business is where can you find products to sell for profit?

These can be businesses who purchase items in bulk to resell or these can be businesses who sell bulk products at wholesale costs. In a nutshell, here's how the wholesale business works:

Basically, if you want to start a wholesale business, it's important to understand the product supply chain. A product is produced by the manufacturer who not only makes the item, but also packages it. The manufacturer then sells the item, usually in bulk, to the distributor who either markets or buys the bulk products. They then sell the bulk products to the wholesale dealer who then in turn sells it to the retailer.

Now, the manufacturer may also act as a distributor for their own goods they have produced. They may distribute their products to the wholesaler themselves who in turn resell to the retailer, or they may also sell to the end retailer. The point being is to know that there is a product cycle involved in the manufacturing and distribution process regardless of the number of links in the products supply chain.

Obviously the more times the product changes hands, the higher the price goes up. What you want to do is to get as direct to the source as possible. This is where you will be able to determine your costs and profit margins better.

A common issue I usually run into when dealing with the wholesale business or distributor business is to understand that although wholesale products can be a great source of product supply for you to sell to make money from, so very often people looking to make money with wholesale supply often become frustrated because they want to find a source of wholesale supply to sell on eBay, but quickly become discouraged when they find they are not able to locate products cheaper than what they are selling for on eBay or through other online auction sites!

That's why it's important to understand the various types of products and the various types of product categories and the costs associated with them.

Although wholesale prices are little higher than what you find for the same products selling on eBay or other online auction sites, there are plenty of wholesale business products for you to sell for profits!

The key is to know what you're buying, who you're buying from, and have a plan to sell it in your market. This includes selling outside of eBay or even using eBay to draw a customer list of prospects to market your products to.
